Welcome to the personal portfolio website of Christchurch based Graphic Designer Luke McDowell.

I am a recent graduate who is passionate about graphic design. I like concept-driven design and original ideas. While I like design books and blogs as much as the next designer, most of my inspiration comes from day to day life and my everyday local surroundings.

In 2009 I graduated from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree majoring in Graphic Design. Thank you for visiting lukemcdowell.net - there is a lot going on... so stay tuned!

March. The foiled and de-bossed covers of three conceptual books I wrote can be seen on cover to covers new website.

February. A text work of mine called Osaka can be seen in the Design and Arts College new 2010 prospectus. Pick up a copy if you are in Christchurch.

January. I have decided to rebuild lukemcdowell (dot) net, but I always will keep it active and online.

December. Today I revceived my BFA in Auckland. Thanks to my family and my partner for making it to the ceremony. Thanks to the Whitecliffe faculty for a memorable day.

November. My graduation project is on display at the Whitecliffe College Graduate Exhibition - 'End of Yeah'. Pearce Gallery, 130 St Georges Bay Road, Parnell.
